George Neuman, Sr.

George Neuman Sr., 89, of Bellevue passed away peacefully Thursday, January 4, 2018 at home with his daughter, Cheryl Daniels who was also his caregiver.  He was born May 21, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of George A. and Nellie (Bickford) Neuman.

George was a U.S. Army Veteran where he served as a Medic in Korea.  He was a member of the VFW Post 1238, Bellevue.  He was employed by International Metal Hose and also worked as an owner-operator truck driver.  He married Nancy Dorothy (Gross) Neuman on April 17, 1948 in Maysville, KY; she preceded him in death in 2004.

George is survived by his children: Cheryl (Paul) Daniels, Sharon Soles, Linda (Tom) Kutz, and George (Mary Jane) Neuman Jr., all of Bellevue; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Barbara Spitler and son in law Leonard Spitler; son-in-law, Ray Soles; granddaughters, Tammie Lemmon, Terra Spitler,  and siblings, June Saurer and William Munshower.

Friends will be received on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where a funeral service officiated by Pastor J.B. Hecock will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
