Frank L.(Pat) Richards, age 84, of Clyde went to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 9, 2019. Frank was born in Cleveland, AL Feb.12, 1935 to Johnie and Anna (Dunn) Richards. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Dalton. He will also be welcomed into Heaven by his wife of 60 years Audrey (McMurray) Richards.
Frank is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Walt) Opfer, Sandusky; Debra (Dean) Miller, Bellevue; and Connie Fiser. And by those who called him “Granddad,” Ben (Krystal) Kuhn, Fairview, TN; Ashley Kuhn, Lyles, TN; Deneil (Brian) Loftus, Zionsville, IN; Derek (Brittany) Sherman, Castalia; Stacy Fiser, Kylie Fiser, and Evan Fiser, Clyde. In addition, he has ten great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Gertrude Jennings, Gate City, VA.
Frank retired from Whirlpool in 1995 after 41 years. He followed the Cleveland Indians for 65 years, and also rooted for the Browns. He was a lifelong fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Those who knew dad also know he was an avid perch & walleye fisherman.
Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2019 from Noon – 2 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy Clyde, OH where a funeral service officiated by Pastor Junior Kerns will begin at 2 pm. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
