Dorothy Adams, 87, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Stein Hospice Care Center. She was born February 10, 1932 in Bellevue the daughter of James and Mamie (Joyce) Branco. Dorothy graduated from Bellevue High School where she excelled in volleyball.
Dorothy was employed at Bellevue Manufacturing for 29 years, where she worked as a press operator. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the former Daughters of Isabella, the Altar Rosary Society, as well as the Eagles and VFW Auxiliary.
She was an avid Ohio State Fan and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren and especially making pizza for them.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Valarie Bloom (Ron) Fleitz, Kathy Bloom (Ed) Loparo, Thomas Bloom, Kimberly (Rob) Heath, and Beth Kessler; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; a brother, Joseph (Marjorie) Branco and sister, Eva Belfiore.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Thomas “Mummy” Adams, whom she married on December 12, 1959 in Bellevue; and siblings: Mary Mason, James Branco II, George Branco Sr., and Josephine Linton.
A funeral Mass will begin on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue. Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue is in care of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky or Immaculate Conception Church.
