Betty Rhea Haynes

Betty Rhea (Richardson) Haynes, of Roanoke, Virginia and most recently of the Willows in Bellevue, Ohio passed away on July 15, 2018 at the Willows at the age of 89.

Bon in Roanoke, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Mayola Richardson.

Betty graduated from Jefferson High School in the class of 1947. She married Winston Haynes on February 14, 1948, and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Rosalind Hills Baptist Church for over 40 years but most recently had attended Harvest Baptist Temple with her son Gary and daughter-in-law Vicky.

Betty lived life to the fullest and made lasting friendships over the years no matter where she lived. Her family will remember her as a strong-willed, loving force in their lives.

Betty will be taken back to Roanoke, Virginia where services will be held.

Memorials may be made to the Clean Air Radio Station PO Box 273 Clyde, Ohio 43410 where Betty tuned in every Sunday morning to listen to church service when she was no longer physically able to attend.

Betty's family would like to thank all the caring and compassionate nurses and aides at the Willows where Betty had lived for the last 5 years. She met many new friends and created new friendships while there. Also, a very big thank you for all the care that was given to Betty and family the last few days of her life at Bellevue Hospital and the Willows.
