Bill Weasner, 68, of Bellevue passed away July 10, 2019 at The Willows at Bellevue.
He was born February 12, 1951 in Bellevue, the son of Paul and Goldie (Lenhart) Weasner.
Bill worked for 43 years at Central Soya/Solae until his retirement in 2012. Bill was an active member of Eagles Aerie 490 in Bellevue where he served as past trustee, as well as a member of American Legion Post 46, the Sandusky Amvets and Orioles Clubs, and the Marblehead VFW. He enjoyed camping at Camp Runinmuck in Marblehead, fishing in Lake Erie, and spending time in Florida at Lake Okeechobee.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Freeman), whom he married July 4, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV; three children: Jennifer (Dave Dendinger) Hamilton of Bellevue, Jamie (Dan Gerwin) Hamilton of Bellevue, and Jodi (Shawn) Alafita of Bellevue; 4 grandchildren: Jael Stevens, Jordan Englehart, Jakota Cope, and Kyler LaBenne; a brother, Ed (Lydia) Weasner of Bellevue; sister, Marilyn (John) Shartzer of Maryland; and mother-in-law, Chris Freeman of Clyde.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where Eagles Aerie 490 will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 15 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery. At Bill and his family’s request, casual attire is preferred for the visitation and funeral service.
