Ron DeLuca, 75, of Bellevue passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at The Cleveland Clinic. He was born November 15, 1948 in Bellevue the son of Jack R. “Jake” and Ruth E. (Schmitz) DeLuca.
Ron was a 1967 graduate of Bellevue High School. He worked as a history teacher for Norwalk City Schools, where he also coached football, track, and wrestling. He retired from teaching in 2007. Ron was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed trips to the casino with his Dian. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks, Eagles Aerie 490, the former Club AmerItal; and the Norwalk VFW. He was a loving grandfather, and the biggest supporter of his children.
He is survived by his two sons: Max (Reagan) DeLuca of Westlake and Tom (Cassandra) DeLuca of Olmsted Falls; step-daughter, Keily (Adam) Wilson of Lakewood Ranch, FL; 6 grandchildren: Ellie, Nora, Gianna, Maria, Caden, Carsyn, Devon; brothers: Jack (Kay) DeLuca, Michael (Stephanie) DeLuca, and Frank (Cindy) DeLuca; sisters: Charlene (John) Lawlor, Linda (Doug) Sweigard, Peggy (Perry) Lynne, Clare Lutz, Paula (Lynn) Drown, and Edith DeLuca.
In addition to his parents; Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Sherian D. “Dian” (Crow) DeLuca, whom he married on June 1, 2007; stepson, David Snyder; granddaughter, Samantha; and infant sister, Mary.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 2 - 8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral Mass will begin on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center Street, Bellevue.
