Charlene Ann Schoen, 85, of Bellevue passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Stein Hospice Care Center. She was born August 17, 1938, in Akron, Ohio the daughter of John Radish and Teresa Mary (Pfenning) Jastatt.
Charlene was a devoted and active member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue. She served in the funeral choir, RCIA program director, CRE leader, song leader, as well as reader during Sunday Mass. Along with her faith, she was a dedicated mother and biggest supporter of her grandchildren. She could be found at all their events alongside her husband, Jim. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially on cruises, and was an accomplished seamstress. She owned and operated her own beauty salon for many years called the “Bouffant Bar”.
Charlene married James Schoen on August 16, 1958 at Immaculate Conception Church, Bellevue; He survives along with their two sons: Scott (Vicki) Schoen of Bellevue and Jon (Sue) Schoen of Bellevue; daughter, Jami (Steve) Hill of Bellevue; 8 Grandchildren: Aaron (Ashley) Schoen, Heather (Clint) Warner, Shaun (Christina) Hill, Ryan (Alaina) Hill, Ashley Tyler, Justin (Nikki) Schoen, and Nicole (Eric) Scheitlin; 16 great grandchildren: Braiden, Ella, Gabe, Eli, Paxton, Oakley, Hudson, Brooks, Adelina, Luca, Liona, Amree, Austyn, Griffin, Graham, and Kamie; and brother, Don Radish of Bowling Green.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson-in-law, Sean Tyler.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will begin on Friday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Main Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
